Moffat School Gym Energy Efficient Infrared Heaters Warm Students and Teachers

Built in the early 1900s, the Moffat K-12 public school added a gymnasium in the 1950s. It was originally equipped with unit heaters that after many years began leaking carbon monoxide. The school was looking to replace them with a safe heating system requiring little or no maintenance that would be energy efficient to lower fuel costs. With Solaronics infrared heaters selected as the replacements, the school realized a fuel cost savings of over 50% in the first heating season.
