EDnote:  You've probably walked through many different air barriers.  Costco and many refrigerated vans have strips of plastic that hang down to preserve temperature.   Some stores have a canister over their entry that shoots a fine air screen at high pressure to keep out heat or keep in cool. Many air barriers are what a trade off, they are not necessarily a green product, but their function is green, i.e. saving BTU's. A little lesson in different types of other air barriers follows.
